Customers who use the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and EBT benefits can expand their food budget to buy more fresh fruits and vegetables at the Sedro-Woolley Farmer’s Market!

How it Works:

  1. Go to our market’s information booth and tell us you’d like SNAP Market Match

2. Swipe your EBT card for the amount you want to spend.

3. You will receive that (unlimited) amount in EBT tokens and the same (unlimited) amount in SNAP Market Match dollars.

  • Fresh mushrooms
  • Fresh edible herbs
  • Seeds and plants that produce food

Farmers Market Nutrition Program for Seniors

The USDA Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is designed to:

  • Provide low-income seniors with access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs.
  • Increase the domestic consumption of agricultural commodities through farmers markets, roadside stands, and community supported agricultural programs.
  • Aid in the development of new and additional farmers markets, roadside stands, and community supported agricultural programs.

How it Works:

Low-Income Seniors in Washington State who meet eligibility requirements can apply to the program through the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. Once approved, customers will receive paper coupons which can be exchanged at our market for fresh produce and honey.

Farmers Market Nutrition Program for Women, Infants And Children (WIC)

The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) is associated with the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). It was established to provide fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables to WIC participants and to expand the awareness and utilization of local farmers markets.

How it Works:

Enrolled participants are issued FMNP coupons in addition to their regular WIC benefits. These coupons can be used to buy food from the Sedro-Woolley Farmers Market.
